Fender Custom Shop 40th Anniversary Concert Edition Stratocaster. This is the most valuable and sought-after Fender Stratocaster of the 1990's. It is truly a piece of Fender history that is almost never made available to the general public. These guitars went to Fender's highest profile artists, with Eric Clapton receiving at least one. Only a few have ever emerged for sale, with one selling at the world famous Christies auction house on June 24th 1998 for $32,200 in lot number 1526020. These guitars were master built with the finest woods and cosmetic appointments, including flame maple neck, flame maple fretboard, 24k Gold plated hardware, distinct headstock logo, and distinct engraving on the gold plates to the back of the guitar. There has never been another guitar like it before or since. If you want the very best, you are looking at it.
