1983 Fender Telecaster Gold Elite in ultra rare Walnut natural finish! This was the highest spec and very best Telecaster money could buy in 1983 and was a major upgrade over the other Elite models. The Elite series were made for one year only due to CBS putting Fender up for sale in 1984. This was an absolutely revolutionary model that saw Fender introduce 14 new designs and patents that transformed their iconic models to present day. This guitar was the origin story for roller string trees, noiseless pickups, TBX active tone control and much more. The serrated rubber volume/tone knobs with embossed numbers and engraved F logo are incredible. Everything on this guitar is original and insanely well preserved. The tuners look like something out of a French palace with finely detailed gold and pearl tuner buttons. The Gold Elite was the very best, with walnut bodies with ebony fretboards being the rarest of the rare.
